For a time-sensitive shipment, send the ready time, latest acceptable delivery and reason for the deadline. We review available options against the load and lane. A request for expedited service is not a confirmed delivery commitment until the transportation plan is accepted.
What to send dispatch
- Earliest freight-ready time and latest acceptable delivery
- Exact origin, destination and onsite contact numbers
- Weight, dimensions and required equipment
- Loading time, access restrictions and flexibility in the schedule
Call when timing is critical
Call dispatch rather than relying only on a form for a shipment that needs immediate attention. Be clear about what is fixed and what can move: a flexible loading window or alternate appointment can change the available options. Capacity and timing must be confirmed before dispatch.
