Container drayage

Container-movement support between ports, rail terminals, warehouses and customer facilities, with terminal and delivery requirements reviewed in advance.

Connect the terminal move to the delivery plan

A container move depends on terminal availability, release status, appointments and equipment requirements. Send the container information early so the transport can be reviewed against the receiving facility’s unloading arrangements. Availability and the operating arrangement are confirmed for each move.

What to send dispatch

  • Container number, size, type and gross weight
  • Terminal, release status and relevant pickup references
  • Availability date, last free day and return instructions
  • Live unload or drop request, receiver hours and access requirements

Make time-related charges visible

Clarify free time, waiting, storage, chassis use and empty-return responsibilities before booking. Terminal, steamship-line and transport charges can have different rules. Tell us promptly if release or receiving arrangements change; those changes can affect the movement plan and cost.

Before booking

Review the written rate and shipment instructions. Tell us about changes in weight, dimensions, loading arrangements or delivery timing before the truck is dispatched.
